Inara: So, explain to me again why Zoe wasn't in the dress? Mal: Tactics, woman. Needed her in the back. 'Sides, those soft cotton dresses feel kinda nice. It's the whole... air-flow.

Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

All is well that ends in pizza.

So do we trace Buffista birth to Table Talk, May 19, 1997 , or to the sate (Unknown to me) of the "Do not startle the Buffistas" or to the thread at WX?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thanks, ita. Needed the explicit.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I don't think two conversations in six months makes the case for a continuation of the thread. We wouldn't make a new thread based on that.

Art Crawl!!!

I've always thought it was the "Am I the only watcher thread" that was the starting point of the buffistas, i.e., TT.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Alright I've actually gone back and skimmed the last six months. I'm seeing more on-topic discussion than not and most of it is very spirited. Yes the thread is low-volume and if that's the criteria for not continuing it then so be it. I'm merely disputing the assertion that we rarely talk about Firefly anymore.

Fair enough.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I've no problem ammending the proposal to:

Once the current Firefly thread has reached it's 10,000th post, we will discontinue the thread. Firefly discussion will then take place in whatever thread it lands.

Yes

No

for me, there is no Buffy/Angel there is only Buffy/Angel/Firefly. This probably has a lot to do with the fact that I watched Firefly first.
Laga is me. I wonder if that is why we have a bit of attachment to it. Like our first child or some such. Or a bird imprinting on the first living thing it sees. For the early Buffistas, that is Buffy. For some of us, it was Firefly. Just a theory, since some have asked "why are you holding on to it for dear life" (paraphrase). Not that it adds to the debate, but sociologically speaking, rather interesting.

Wolfram, well put in post#7993!

Joss Whedon posted about the Firefly cancellation here.
Are you serious? Nobody told me that. Very cool.

oops, sorry. /natter

I think the crux of my biscuit is that I'm not done talking about Firefly and I want to keep talking about it here because there's no smarter, snarkier group of people on the internet.

Once again, Laga is me. Maybe I should change my tag line to that.
