I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

Not having read the Firefly thread since probably the show was on, right now, what IS posted there that is actually Firefly-related? Not fandom related. Not Summer Glau's new project which is not called Firefly. But actually related to something a strict-thread-constructionist would believe would be appropriate to the Firefly thread?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Not much of anything since "Gus."

But in all fairness, Minearverse is soaps and crafts. Technically, we could close that puppy down at 10,000 under the same arguments.

WRT Minearverse.... true. Except maybe Tim will be creating something that will be new content or at least new discussion.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I've had at least two firefly content related discussions in the firefly thread in the last six months.

Yeah. But if he did and no one had anything to say but soaps and crafts? I wouldn't protest its closing.

All is well that ends in pizza.

So do we trace Buffista birth to Table Talk, May 19, 1997 , or to the sate (Unknown to me) of the "Do not startle the Buffistas" or to the thread at WX?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thanks, ita. Needed the explicit.

I don't think two conversations in six months makes the case for a continuation of the thread. We wouldn't make a new thread based on that.

Art Crawl!!!

I've always thought it was the "Am I the only watcher thread" that was the starting point of the buffistas, i.e., TT.

Alright I've actually gone back and skimmed the last six months. I'm seeing more on-topic discussion than not and most of it is very spirited. Yes the thread is low-volume and if that's the criteria for not continuing it then so be it. I'm merely disputing the assertion that we rarely talk about Firefly anymore.
