If we're really that worried about it then just add a stiff penalty for anyone caught ganging up and tryign to force a poster out.
Of course, it be effective if the situation ever occured then the threat would have to be followed through on.

It's the moving from the specific to the hypothetical. People tend not to get too riled up about hypotheticals. Also, it's a pretty damn sound proposal.

I think a lot of it's soundness (aside from the obvious which is that msbelle put it together) is that it is based on actions we were pretty much using anyway. We just needed it codified.

no we won't use it much, but until soemthing new comes along it will keep the posts of high drama and hurt feelings and hand wringing to a minimum.
I don't like drama, but more than that I really don't like curt posts and hurt feelings and hijacked boards.
