We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. no we won't use it much, but until soemthing new comes along it will keep the posts of high drama and hurt feelings and hand wringing to a minimum.

I don't like drama, but more than that I really don't like curt posts and hurt feelings and hijacked boards.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

It's a beautiful proposal. If I could, I'd set it to music.

and with that, I'm off to take care of my family who seem to think I've neglected them.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

How long before this comes to a vote?

hunh, if people think me proposing something (and this something is 99% Nutty's words) leads to low discussion and general agreement, then I'm proposing myself a raise, a boyfriend, and healing powers. damn straight.

We'll give you %100 of the zero dollars we have been giving you to be msbelle.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

msbelle, FWIW, when you go to draft the final ballot, I'm all for resolving as much as possible now. You can do it by breaking down separate voteable parts.

Like:

Part 1: [procedure proposal A-F]
___ Yes, implement this; ___No, go back to the drawing board

Part 2: [How long the points last on your Buffista license]
___ 6 months; ___ 2 months

Part 3: [whatever I'm forgetting]

Seven in one blow, you know? Moving as much as we can along as quickly and in as orderly fashion as possible.

I think it is 4 days for discussion (that means until 4/18 at 11:59 pm ET) and 3 days for voting (that means from 4/19 at midnight ET to 4/22 at midnight).

If this is wrong, please let me know so I can edit Press.

msbelle, while you're at it, I'd like a really hot chauffeur to drive me places whenever I want, and a big bag of money, 'kay?

Nutty,

I think the problem is, that is not what I proposed. The way I understand it, and I am open to input here, is that some one proposes something in Bureau. People second that. It comes here so people can debate the pros and cons of it as a proposal. I think adding things like time that a warning is active and steps from warning to suspension alter the proposal beyond what was posted.

I regret now that I did not cover all issues in my original post. I am really all for just taking over, but I don't think that is what is what the board will tolerate.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I am really all for just taking over, but I don't think that is what is what the board will tolerate.

I think that what we decided was that the original proposer can modify the proposal. That way things brought up in here can get in, but we don't have to try to get the group to agree on how to word it.
