Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I watch a lot of tv and I'm not all that particular (though I don't watch comedies a whole lot). I am interested in talking about nonfic shows together in the reality show thread, but no one watches "Bought & Sold" around here. :-)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I feel like most of the discussion about competition shows happened really right around the airing, and some the next day. That leaves a ton of time to talk about the other nonfiction shows without "bumping into" TAR talk (or whatever). At least, I'd think so.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I agree Jesse, I really don't think it'd be a problem.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I also agree with Jesse.

The "reality" shows didn't get in my way, and in the case of "Shear Genius", actually got me to start watching it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I also agree with Jesse. There are some interesting shows out there that I didn't know about before we opened the Non-fiction thread. I can't see a few random posts about them really getting in the way.

Proposal: To create a new permanent television bucket thread like the Experimental Non-fiction Thread, name to be determined. This thread will be a NAFDA thread.

Just a minor point. I don't think it would really be NAFDA since we in Canada either don't get many of these shows until much later or not at all (e.g., Veronica Mars). I think you should call it "AFDA".

Art Crawl!!!

Or maybe USFDA.

What is even happening?

Megan, maybe that's an issue for Bureaucracy, not this thread? SA used NAFDA in keeping with its explanation in the FAQ:

Q. NAFDA? Is that an international Buffista treaty?
A. Ummm..... No. It's the North American Free Discussion Area. We have many posters who aren't from North America and are therefore half a season or more behind. In order to keep them unspoiled, we limit discussion of current episodes to specific threads. These are the NAFDA threads. If it's not labeled as a NAFDA thread, don't talk about current episodes in it. We also ask that you don't discuss one show's current season in another show's topic without whitefont, because some people are on tape delay. This means that events from the current season of Buffy should be whitefonted in the Angel topic and vice versa.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

What Cindy said. NAFDA is less about a geographical area and more about a specific spoiler/whitefont policy.

Not javachik

Okay, I'm lost. The discussions in this thread dated June seem to be about white fonting and non-fict/reality TV, but there were 4 experimental threads. What about the other 3 threads? Are we voting on white font now? aaand, there goes my time; back tomorrow.
