We're still working on a plan, but so far it involves being sent to prison and becoming somebody's bitch.

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. A night of whitefont for eliminated contestants, and maybe some of the wow factor, seems reasonable, though the experimental thread was completely NAFDA and seemed to work fine that way.

The status is NOT quo.

I have no objection to this bucket thread in the format. Night-of whitefont would be good for the end of competition-style shows, but otherwise I think the thread was great.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just kept clicking on the thread by accident, and the first thing that I'd see (not necessarily the first post, but it would always jump out) is "I can't believe X got cut!!!"

I couldl live with night of white font if I had to, but why not just stay out of the thread until the morning if you haven't watched? It would kind of take the fun out of watch and posts of shows that have someone voted out every week. I think the white f nt options should be part of the vote, much like Cindy did forthe experimental thread vote. I didn't hear anyone complain about the experimental thread having no whitefont.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

but why not just stay out of the thread until the morning if you haven't watched?

If you're like me, you're subbed to a thread and forget about it until you click Read New. And then you go, "Oh, crap, I just got spoiled for whatever show was on tonight."

I never got spoiled for an elimination, but I came close a couple of times, so I wouldn't object to a night of whitefont.

Exactly. And I'm not saying the whole discussion, just the name. Which I realize is mad nit-picky, so maybe it could be a request or suggestion made of thread participants, not a Rule.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

why not just stay out of the thread until the morning if you haven't watched?

For those of us who navigate via the "Read New" button, it's embarrassingly easy to accidentally land in a thread you'd intended to spend the next 24 hours avoiding.

[heh, Read New xpost]

I've done that too. But I've also done that in the dedicated Heroes thread. I don't see that as being a bucket thread specific problem.

I'm not saying it is. I'm just thinking there's a pretty easy way to avoid it for reality competition shows.
