It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My proposal is to close the thread. Period. What happens after that is not my decision, nor part of my proposal.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Jesse, it's my understanding that you get the final wording on the ballot as it is your proposal. Or am I wrong?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, right. What I mean is that my proposal is just to close the thread, period, and not anything else.

Our wings are not tired.

Proposal: Close Book Club Thread.

It would be the least complex ballot we've seen. No pre%*^%$ voting needed or anything.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But think of the Australians!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Eh, if the Aussies want preferential, we can weight the votes as follows:

1st choice (weight: 100%)
2nd choice (weight: EAT IT!)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I understand it with the LotR thread. With this one, I'd think I'd want the option to archive it, since if there was revived interest, a new thread could be started without too much loss of continuity. Since it'd be starting with a new book.

Part of the benefit of closing threads is the neatening, and I wouldn't want it to sit out there forever, closed but not archived.

And with that, I close this thread.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Here's Allyson's proposal, as put forward in Bureaucracy:

Please to add another Boxed Set thread to the TV folder, tentatively titled, "Boxed Set: Premium."

HBO/Showtime, like Deadwood, Big Love, Entourage and such.
