So what are the spoiler rules for a TV natter?

Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!
We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!
would it change from regular Natter? What are the rules for regular Natter?
Whitefont current season discussion.
It'll change from regular Natter if you want it to.
So every tv discussion in Natter is white-fonted?
Interesting. I guess the only change to this I would suggest is that discussion should remain white fonted until 7:00 a.m. ET the day after the show airs. It would be nice if people on both coasts could be on equal footing.
So every tv discussion in Natter is white-fonted?
No -- just the current season. So when someone asks if Will Tippin died, you don't have to whitefont the answer if you're clear on the timespan covered.
A thread that's whitefonted until the next morning is verboten to me, because I catch up on TV on the weekends. People who watch via DVD (the HBO series, for instance) won't be able to natter on all their other shows without spoilage.
Is the Fall tv thread going to be Nafda? Or not? We whitefont for a year in Natter because Natter is not a NAFDA thread.
Okay, I must admit, I have no strong preferences about white font except that I'd like to go for more inclusion. If people DO have strong preferences, and if there is a ballot, maybe the preferences need to be worked out there.
If we white-fonted, I think the shows discussed need to be in regular font before the white font so people know what the post is about.
I feel like a Fall TV thread would be an interesting and worthy experiment, especially with at least three Buffy alumna in new shows this fall. I guess we could use the Buffy threads to discuss those series, but it feels wrong to me.
My preferences would be:
- Whitefont everything for some short period of time, say two weeks, after original airing. In addition, it would be nice if we labeled posts at the top as to content, permitting self-filtering through searching.
- Thread is for shows premiering during the 2005-2006 series only. More than incidental discussion of other shows is Stomped and/or redirected. (e.g., it's okay to say "Mathew St. Patrick is even hotter on Reunion than he was on Six Feet Under," not okay to get into an extended discussion of Keith & David's relationship on SFU.)
- Thread is time-limited, and expires on (let's say) May 31, 2006. On or after that date, we discuss what our next step is, whether it's closing the thread and never speaking of it again, making new threads for the shows that got the most discussion, or converting the thread into a TV Natter.
Thanks for proposing this, le nub.
No strong opinion on a TV thread. I'll discuss new shows in the thread, or in Natter.
The whitefont thing can get confusing. I don't whitefont at all in Boxed Set. Didn't think we needed to. During W&P the delayed coast people generally flee if they don't want to spoiled. Spoilage doesn't bother me so I often visit the thread before I have seen the episodes being discussed.
If whitefont is to be used I think whitefonting for longer than a week gets confusing. Remebering if an episode was two weeks or three weeks ago is more than my fragile mind can deal with. I generally can remember if I am discussing the most recent episode and whitefont.
Is the Fall tv thread going to be Nafda? Or not? We whitefont for a year in Natter because Natter is not a NAFDA thread.
If episode discussion is only whitefonted for 1-2 weeks that would make it a yes on NAFDA, correct?
