Which worms are those, Sean?
More TV show threads. I'd worry that creating a TV folder would turn the whole folder into a General TV thing, one thread at a time.
'Underneath'
We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

No, I meant I'm usually a glass-half-empty kind of person.
(I was just cracking wise)
For me, the creation of a VM thread pretty much drills home to me that that ship has sailed.
Ah. I was beginning to wonder a bit who you were and what you'd done with ita.
I'd prefer no folders.
I have no opinion on a VM thread.
I don' t know where I stand on a VM thread, but I am volunteering to count votes.
Currently, we're getting VM as a summer series in Canada, I don't know if they plan to air Season 2 in the fall or not.
I became addicted to VM over the summer (and I think Frankenbuddha gets the toaster on that one.) So for selfish reasons, I'd love to have a thread. Who knows, maybe we'll get some comments from a well-known Buffista and VM fan.
But I won't be too disappointed if we don't get one either. I feel that VM nicely represents the spirit of Buffy, but breaks significantly from the actual genre. I wonder what long-term impact that would have on this board, if any.
To clarify, i meant buffy-inspired in that the pitch- high school girl + genre - is surely inspired by the Buffy pitch. I think not watching Buffy is why it's post- not sub-: Rob thomas does his own interetingthings with the idea. But that's for the (hypothetical) thread

This sums up my feeling. I'll vote for it, but it won't kill me not to have it.
Is there a minimum number of responses required when/if it goes to voting?
I fully support the idea of a Veronica Mars thread, because, well, I like reading comments and discussion on good TV by smart people. I certainly think the show has much of the same stuff going for it that Buffy had, and is probably closer in feel to Buffy than, say, Firefly, or Lost, or probably any of the Boxed Set shows. The best Buffy discussions have nothing to do with the fantasy genre bits, they have to do with the characterization and plotting bits, and Veronica Mars has that stuff in spades.
Of course, there are other places out there to discuss VM (if the communities are generally more annoying than here), and many of us are already regulars at those places, so if the Buffistas decide to nix this, I will not be petulant. Probably.
