Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

Hey. New board.

I fully support the idea of a Veronica Mars thread, because, well, I like reading comments and discussion on good TV by smart people. I certainly think the show has much of the same stuff going for it that Buffy had, and is probably closer in feel to Buffy than, say, Firefly, or Lost, or probably any of the Boxed Set shows. The best Buffy discussions have nothing to do with the fantasy genre bits, they have to do with the characterization and plotting bits, and Veronica Mars has that stuff in spades.

Of course, there are other places out there to discuss VM (if the communities are generally more annoying than here), and many of us are already regulars at those places, so if the Buffistas decide to nix this, I will not be petulant. Probably.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Is there a minimum number of responses required when/if it goes to voting?

If I only had a brain...

I think that Veronica Mars has Buffy-nature and I'd be pleased for us to have a live and active TV-based thread. I'm in favor.

of course i'm all for it. i have many issues staying caught up with natter. so i miss any conversation that occurs about the show and i do love to discuss it.

intellectual conversation about it would be nice. i'm certainly not going to get much of that in the VM community i maintain.

The Lost thread was pretty live and active during the season, wasn't it?

Yes, but I have no brain. Okay, two L&ATV-Bs.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Airing at the same time!

Really, it's so annoying that VM and Lost are going to air at the same time. I mean, it's work-around-able, but still. Feh.

Sorry -- I wasn't harshing on you; I just wondered what your take on it was. And, to be fair, I miss the days when we had 2 consistently active TV threads that covered new episodes. With the Buffy and Angel threads (when we had new eps), there was always some really interesting conversation going on, something new being kicked around.

Meaning, I'm pro-VM thread, too.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Okay, I am now in favor of a VM thread if only for the prospect of duelling watch and posts.
