I cannot describe how much I do NOT want to get back into the, "how about if we describe it this way? Does it make sense now?" I'm getting right back into the annoyed place of whenever that was before about this same stupid issue. I really don't see the value of having to have this annoying conversation AGAIN when we can just do the damned runoff.
God! This is exactly how I feel, Jesse.
And I have to admit, I'm not with the rest of you on PV. I don't want to do it. Period. Part of it has to do with the fact that I am aggravated and pissed because I feel like I am being ignored. I was asked about it and I said, no I don't want to do it and why. Jesse responded she didn't want to do it. Then there is a post about how" no one is against it, no one is blocking consensus, let's do it." Except, hello. I'm against. Jesse is against. Burrell said she prefered a runoff. So, I'm thinking it's not true to say no one is against it.
Well you know what. I don't want to do it. I don't trust the process right now. As I've said many times before I would prefer doing a runoff if necessary.
I'm also VERY FIRMLY AGAINST IT.
VERY FIRMLY.
So you peeps keeping track at home have another voice on the issue.
Hi.
My name is ita, and I have little interest in preferential voting.
Why P.M.? Why are you against trying it this one time?
Because I'm against it, period, and I'm against "just this once" on general principle.
I don't really feel I need to justify this "I AM AGAINST IT, I DON'T WANT TO TRY IT "JUST THIS ONCE"", because, yo--I'm AGAINST IT.
I'm not going to want it, PERIOD.
So...um... do I go ahead and post the link to the ballow tonight or not? Cause I really don't care if we do it this way or in a run off if need be.
ita - do you have a reason?
So, Jon, do our reasons need to past muster before they are recognized as legitimate?
'Cause saying "What's your reason?" seems to imply that unless we can satisfy YOUR criteria as a legitimate reason then.... it doesn't matter?
edited for homonym issue
I'm against "just this once" on general principle.
Well, I'm against princples right now. I'm big on Trial and Error and giving us room to make the mistakes and also to take stuff out of theoretical and apply it practically. Because I think half the craziness comes from trying to anticipate all the eventualities beforehand, when it's no Big Fucking Deal to try one thing and then either discard it or build on it.
I'm with Hec on this one.
