PROPOSAL
To open a thread to discuss unaired episodes of Wonderfalls, title and slug to be determined.
(that's all we need, right?)
We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!
PROPOSAL

PROPOSAL: To open a new thread called "NOW what do I watch?". This thread is for the discussion of what's worth watching in the first Fall without a new Mutant Enemy show.
Well, like I said before--I'm usually mildly against thread proliferation, but Lord knows it'll be the subject of discussion all over the board. What the heck, why not?
Is this just to talk about new shows (and how would we police that, anyway?), or is this the dreaded General TV Thread?
Betsy, is it to discuss what actually happens on the shows, such as "On Joan of Arcadia, G-d appeared and...", or is it a recommendation thread, that will help us decide which shows are watched by enough Buffistas to merit their own threads?
(sorry if that's clunky)
This is a recommendation thread. This is strictly for Buffistas to suggest other shows that Buffy-loving (and Firefly-loving and...) people might like. No discussing plot events, just "I watch THE SWAN and you guys would like it because."
Oh, and the shows don't have to be new. You're allowed to say "If you haven't tried it, try ALIAS because."
It'd probably have to be policed, then--maybe just BaBB-style rather than Press-style, but something to keep the chatting out.
I'm actually pro-thread proliferation, but this topic sounds like something that's suitable for Natter. Errr, to make sure I'm clear -- I don't think the discussion of "What Should I Watch?" would overwhelm Natter, *especially* if it's meant to be recommendations only and not actual plot discussion.
I can't see how it won't become almost a TV thread, with people saying "But you shouldn't like Alias because SpyDaddy is insane." "Are you kidding? That's one of the big pulls." "Nowhere near as hot as Sark, though." "Good point -- he started becoming a big attraction around the episode where he ..."
Even so, if we could decide on the hard and fast line where it doesn't cross over, I don't see the need. TV's not that complicated.
