We keep talking about redundancies and combining threads but there is no reason to have a Previously thread that's just about Buffy and a Buffy thread when there are no new Buffy episodes. That's two threads talking about the exact same topic right there.
There seems to be a lot of agreement with that. The current proposal is to either discontinue the Previously thread, or if not convert it to a Previously on Angel thread, to reflect the fact that Angel starts syndication in the fall.

I know we have to make some tough decisions, and we may have to cut some threads that will make a lot of people unhappy, and ultimately, if we have to ccut the Buffy thread, I guess we'll just have to cut it.
But I say again, we are not called the Previouslyistas, we are called the Buffistas, and keeping the Buffy thread open is, IMHO, the one real way we have of paying homage to the show that spawned us.
Which I guess is just my way of saying that if it's between Previously and Buffy, I think we should keep Buffy, and I'm at least a little puzzled that anybody would pick different on a board called Buffistas.
But maybe that's just me.

I think so. They seem to be advocating a single Buffy thread, as opposed to both Buffy and Previously. Which the current proposal would do, if either 4 or 4b is passed.

Probably. I am having subordination issues recently.
Basically I see it as three options:
1. Do nothing.
2. Eliminate the previously thread and just have a Buffy thread. Which would obviously cover all of Buffy. If syndies of Angel were discussed there, fine with me. But I also think syndication of Angel could be discussed in thread. Will the non NAFDA people get syndication at the same time as the NAFDA folks?
3. Keep Previously but have it refashioned to either be solely previously on Angel or Previously on Angel and Buffy.
In part, it seems like we are really looking at the semantics of it all. If we have a "BUFFY" thread that had talk of syndicated Angels, seems like that would be fine. Some people, and I include myself in this group, think that the thread should be a BUFFY thread. Others seem to want it to be named a PREVIOUSLY thread. But, I think but I'm not 100% sure, both groups in this category want to eliminate one thread.
So the existing threads in instance 1 would be
Buffy/Previously/Angel (though I have read arguments here, when the current Buffy thread closes it should be Previously/Angel)
With option two, it would be
Buffy/Angel.
With option three, it would be
Buffy/Previously including Angel/Angel.
