Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

imagined us running up the threads until we hit Voting Discussion 666: We're Trimming the Fat AIFS! and then the server went out in a fiery blaze of vitriol.

And it probably would take all of about a week to get there.

This board has no second-class citizens.

Well, of course not. It also has no first-class or third-class citizens. Or any citizens. Cause it's a posting board and not a sovereign nation.

But I get your point.

Okay, back to consolidating. . .

Firefly stuff? Two or Three?
Quotable threads? Necessary or Not?

HA! I think you forget we only have four days to debate. I was expecting that around Hour 19.

Firefly stuff? Two or Three?

I say two. Actually, I would even say none and roll them up with the Smallville and Farscapes of this board but I don't think that would fly. [No pun intended.]

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Have the UKers seen all of the Firefly episodes at this point? If so, I would vote for consolidating the spoiler and main thread. If not, consolidate them when they have seen them all.

I love the quotable threads, and hope we get a chance to keep Buffy open long enough to finish the death matches, but the Board is more important, so I guess I'd say close and archive them.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The threads were separate because they've seen them all, Perkins, not until.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That's true. I was thinking that now that the major discussion of unaired episodes had passed, maybe we wouldn't need both, but I guess that wouldn't work. Maybe we could consolidate them when the DVDs come out.

Thanks for all the fish.

We haven't had the quote of the day going long enough to determine if it makes a huge difference to - ah, whatever it is that's going wrong. Maybe that's enough to fix things for the board?

Maybe?

Please?

Elena, I think the house keeping discussion would be happening anyhow, even if we did have all the resources in the world.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I have to say, I think that the stupidest suggestion I've seen so far is that we get rid of Natter and Bitches so that we can continue to cater to the 10 peeps who want to discuss X, Y, or Z in the individie threads, and so we can keep separate Quotables, Previously, Spoilers, Semi-Spoilers, etc, for each and every ME show.

If we want to get serious about cutting, start with the stuff that seems extraneous. But it looks to me like folks aren't willing to even lose that.

If we cut Natter & Bitches, then really, we should have three threads and three threads only, Buffy, Angel, and Firefly. Is that what we want?

Oh, and I am all for Allyson's suggestion to Archive the closed threads elsewhere.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Burrell and I see this similiarly I think.

Let's talk about putting what came from Natter back into Natter and what came from Bitches back into Bitches.

Does the clean counter metaphor work in reverse? And, hey, it might be nice to have those threads denser again.
