It's a real burden being right so often.

Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Right now, the title of the previously thread doesn't mention either show.

Well, huh. So it doesn't.

In that case, why do we even need to close it and reopen a new one? Why not just add "and Angel" to the slug and have done with it? It's effectively a syndication/DVD thread for both shows anyway -- I know we talked about the S1 DVDs in there when they were first released.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

What Jess said. I don't think we need to close a thread, considering there's not even 4k posts in there. Just change the slug.

Up with the sun

What Cindy said. I'm a big fan of Seeing What Happens.

This way, we won't be adding a thread; we'll just be broadening the purpose of one

Except....we won't, really. It's already effectively a thread for both shows, we just haven't officially called it that. I think closing/reopening is an extraneous step.

Except it's not. The slug on the main page, under the title, says it is for Buffy.

Isn't the slug a pretty quick-fix change, though?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Isn't the slug a pretty quick-fix change, though?

As would be the title.

I mean, the effort's not the issue -- it's the acceptance.

But the content of the thread includes both shows.

Wasn't there a big discussion here last night (or maybe it was in bureau or bbabb) about closing and opening new, rather than repurposing, for archiving purposes. Mind you, I don't care. I just thought we were trying to be consistent.
