Bitchy Fic and PPO could be combined, I think, since Bitchy Fic has different types of Buffista written fanfic that isn't Smallville or BtVS or Angel.

However Fanfiction is a discussion thread and not where actual works in progress are posted and I'd like that to be kept seperate. I have a hard time keeping up with Bitchy Fic, I try, but it's nice to know I can go to Fanfiction and find discussion about Fanfic trends or find recommendations and things like that.

This is my sense of things too.

I thought the "anthology project" thread was more about writing/publishing pr0n, but it's pretty dormant. Could the discussions there be combined in with either Bitchy Fic/PPO or the Great Write Way thread?

Also, are there any shows that Atlantic Canadians will still get earlier next fall? If not, could the social aspect of the thread be maintained in Un-Americans?

Thanks, Jon. I know that's been the argument against closing it in the past -- I just wanted to see if it was still important, if there's no longer a practical reason for the thread, as there was when the Canadians got Buffy earlier.

But it and UnAmerican are both pretty active, so consolidating them might not make sense anyhow.

On the fanfiction issue, just to back Allison up--the fanfiction thread has a distinct purpose from the BitchFic thread, as she explained above. However, the PPO and Bitchfic threads could be successfully combined (I believe), and depending on what the others think, the Anthology project could be folded in there as well. The Anthology has been dormant for a couple months now, and most of the people who are writing for Anthology participate in the BitchFic thread. Just, like. A suggestion.

I'd be cool with the Spoilers changing it's name to Angel Spoilers. Though it's pretty much superficial considering we all call it Spoilers anyway.

I still don't quite see why Previously has to be closed/reopened just for Angel. But that might simply be my blinders. I would like to request that it be previously on Buffy and Angel, but whatever the majority says.

I am still not sure that I understand why. Would you like this instead of a separate Buffy thread? And if you would like both a separate Buffy thread to discuss past Buffy episodes and a Buffy and Angel Previously thread to discuss past Buffy and Angel episodes, could you explain why? I am not trying to be dense here, I just want to know why to see if I agree.

I think, because Previously is already purposed to handle Buffy (and Angel) discussion about already-aired Buffy episodes, we don't need a Buffy thread. Which, okay, this is originally a Buffy board, and I can understand the desire to always have a Buffy thread. But I'm looking at what the original purpose of the thread was, and I don't see the need to repurpose or do away with it if it still serves it's purpose.

Also, some of the best and most intense discussion about past individual episodes has taken place in that thread. From what I've seen, also, different kinds of discussion takes place in the Buffy thread versus the Previously thread. Buffy thread takes on an overall analysis, where Previously often looks at individual older episodes. Not that either discussion hasn't taken place in either thread, but...there's a different feel. And I'd hate to lose that.

I propose some stompy change ita's name to "ita-bobita: fluffy bunny w/mouse punches" and then mess with some code so she has to figure out how to change it back and starts attacking fellow stompies in devious ways.

I'm quite flattered that y'all think I'm so mature and well-balanced that I'd handle it without rampant destruction.

The discussion there has been discussion and posting on original work, aspects of publishing original fiction and that sort of thing, which is very different than fanfiction. Although it's a fiction thread it's a different type of fiction and I think it should stay seperate from fanficition.
