Voting Discussion: We're Screwing In Light Bulbs AIFG!

We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The other thing (this is starting to get really tangled in my head) is that if this becomes routine, UnAms won't be able to do previously for fear of getting plot spoiled for the last few eps.

I don't think that's a problem since it would only be used by the spoilery-averse Americans during the Summer. Once new eps start airing in the US, there's no reason why the spoilery-averse Americans can't come back to the main Angel thread.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Are you saying for right now, Jon? Because what about at the end of next season, when we've seen all of ours, the UnAms have a few to go and now can't go into previously or they'll be spoiled.

But after the end of the season+a few months we'd be talking about the cast for the next (Bob willing) season. I'm also not sure, because of the nature of discussion, that you can really switch threads that easily.

Good point. But it's a short term solution at least....

No, I liked it too, but then I started thinking about what would happen next season.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Is the casting policy changing for the summer or changing for good?

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

To be honest, though, I wonder if it will even matter--because we might not get this resolved before the premiere airs anyway, and discussion in Angel has trickled to a slow drip.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The proposal only applies to changes to the regular cast announced during the summer hiatus.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

And besides that, Previously is both Buffy and Angel discussion about previous seasons, not spoilers.

Yes, but hence, spoiler-free. Granted for a few months IF there is a next season, spoiler-free would need to stay out because, ironically, they'd be the spoiled ones (compared to the UnAmericans). But I'm not sure if there would be any huge deal casting spoilers next summer. Though, who can predict these things. Couldn't we agree to hold off the Summer season regular stuff until the UnAmericans were through with Angel, which is pretty much what happened this year and we'll still have almost 3 months of slightly-spoiled speculation?

Just a thought.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm pretty sure that Trudy was asking if the proposal only applied to *this* summer or if it would apply to all future changes to the regular cast that are announced at the beginning of summer. Wouldn't the answer be the second?
