this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Enjoy the new clothes! I have so many in smaller sizes tucked away, but clearly I will deserve new ones when I get to a goal weight.

My therapist, who lost a lot of weight on Ozempic, calls it "shopping your closet" when you go back through your older clothes that didn't use to fit and they all fit again.

Tim is finished with chemo and got to ring the bell! He has 3 more days of radiation, and they have their own bell he gets to ring his last day, on Friday.

That is wonderful to hear. I hope he enjoyed the bell ringing! I saw a picture of Joe Biden ringing the bell today and thought about Tim getting to do that too.

Awww, yay Joe! I had to go look up the picture, and good for him!

Thrive to spite them

Yay for Tim ringing the bell!

Lisah I'm so sorry.

The beach has been great. Had a nice visit with my aunt yesterday. She told me Jack is doing well as can be expected. He has been getting shots every 4 months as his only cancer treatment and then cancer is gone or mostly gone from his bones. It is still growing in his prostate and he is tired a lot but it's a better prognosis than expected

I mentioned Tim to her and she said that two of Dad's cousins (brothers) had throat cancer. But different kinds. One of them who had the lost aggressive form finished his chemo months ago and is only now on soft foods. I'm glad Tim didn't have to deal with that.

I finally put on on swimsuit. It's swim shorts and a tankini top. And of course they fit better than 2 years ago but it surprised me. It's a long top and before it barely came down to the top of the shorts because of my stomach and now the hem sits at my hips. The shorts are loose enough on the legs to be a skirt .

Dad went back to town Sun but he is coming back down today and stay a few days before he has to go back to town

I'm sorry, lisah.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Thank you to yesterday’s GLP-1 discussion for making me realize I was confusing mgs for units and basically micro-dosing the past month. And wondering why I was feeling no particular effects, side- or otherwise.

I lost almost 85 lbs doing a reduced carb (Optavia, not keto) program over a couple of years, got within a hairs-breadth of my goal and then somehow last year just lost the drive. I’ve put about 25 of it back on and keep starting over and over and it’s just not sticking. So I’m trying this. Ok, now I’m trying this.

I’m off to Anaheim next week with a stopover in Temecula to do some wining (not whining) with old friends. I was really hoping to have made some progress by now but apparently progress is for chumps who read the directions.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I should go visit Temecula again, last time I was there was over 30 years ago and they weren't really in the wine business yet
