So I found myself in the hot tub last night at the dance convention at 2am (technically it was closed but) with a bunch of gay men and two of us somehow ended up trying to explain AO3 and then the omegaverse to people…I feel like y’all would understand. I was glad someone else brought it up first though.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I’m sorry, PMM. That’s a hard decision. For what it’s worth, hospice was incredibly kind to my mom, and made her final weeks as comfortable as possible.

It was honestly such a relief when my Dad started getting hospice care. We didn’t have to worry about getting him out of the apartment for medical appointments and he could stop taking medicine other than ones that eased pain or his Parkinson’s symptoms. Oh and Medicare covered hospice so they could cut back on home health visits which Medicare does not cover! He was under hospice care at for about 3 months before he passed and it was a much more peaceful time than the past few years of his life had been in many ways.
