Well, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra removed the DEI page from their website, and they just announced the Pops schedule for next season (much later than they usually announce it), and it's got several of the "celebrate America" type programs that Trump's NEA had requested. It does include a few Black artists, but the past few seasons have had several programs specifically focused on African-American music, and those are conspicuously missing from the new season. (The regular orchestra -- which is the same people as the Pops, just wearing different jackets, but it's treated as a separate thing -- does have a few programs like that, which they usually don't have. I'm wondering if there's something going on with moving funding money around.)
There's a Harlem Renaissance concert this weekend. I'd been meaning to buy a ticket for that -- now it looks like it might be my last chance for a while to see something like it.
Also, one of the traditions for years (I think several decades) has been Classical Roots, where the orchestra partners with local Black church choirs, dance groups, and other groups like that. That's not listed for next year at all. I commented on their Facebook page to ask if it will still be held.
