Sounds very neat, aurelia!
I'm finishing up Day 3 of a cold that makes me want to curl up and hibernate. I don't know if it's actually more severe than colds usually are, or if I've just been wimpified by barely ever catching anything since the beginning of the pandemic. But Don't Wanna! is my primary emotion.
Holy Crap! last time I dipped in was 2/14 and so much has happened, too much in some ways!
Shir, my love and condolences to you, and your family.
I came here for advice.
I just bought a new car and thought I had done a good job adulting but I slipped up.
I got a notice from the Credit Union that is holding the loan on the balance of the payment for said car.
I thought it would be small, but I looked at the loan and I am paying on the loan almost as much as I put down. so I looked at my agreement with the Dealer. I made the mistake of saying YES to a Vehicle Services Contract! so dumb of me.
anybody more savvy in this kind of transaction council me? Am I stuck with it? it is half of the cost of amount is being financed, and I'm really pissed at myself for saying yes and not reading the paperwork carefully enough.
So I;m wondering if it is possible or too late to cancel that contract, before I actually start paying on the loan.
you guys are the smartest people I know.
Yikes quester!! No advice but good luck!!
aurelia, that is awesome!
quester, I have no idea how to fix that, but good luck! And I hope the car is good to you for a long time to come.
It's my turn for the sore throat and pink eye virus that has been going through our household. This is my first experience with pink eye, and I very much do not recommend it.
Eavesdropping on my sister planning a wedding gig and the groom wants to walk out to Bittersweet Symphony and I?? Really?
Boo pinkeye. And service contracts. I’ve fallen into that hole before.
(And I’m in the middle of planning a vacation with a timeshare presentation so apparently I haven’t learned.)
How long ago did you sign the contract, quester? Each stat has some period of time where you can back out. I just bought my car and here it was 5 days but other states are longer. Was the salesperson nice? They may be able to help.
Oh no, quester! I don't know how but I hope you can get out of that
Bittersweet Symphony is certainly a choice.
[did not hit Post two hours ago, going to recklessly do so now without checking where the conversation has gone]
The movers are here. Between me and husband, we probably managed a total of 7 hours of sleep. They're in the homestretch and we could go nap... except the fucking plumbers are supposedly coming this afternoon. At some point. I am living off two bowls of Cheerios and it is not enough.
Good luck Dana, moving is so stressful!
