Ooh, lovely, David.
I'm not ready to furnish the bedroom in the attic yet, but I'm bookmarking this bed: [link]
Let's see if I can work through my onerous tasks today:
Clean Guinea Pig Cage [done]
Vacuum [done]
Pick Up One Pile
Learn how to dust [somewhat]
Dust [ineffectual measures taken]
Pay three past due bills [done]
Empty garbage cans and take out trash [done]
Make a frittata
Make chicken soup [done - and delivered
Pick up item I left at friend's house [done]
I love a sleigh bed, but I don't like it when the footboard is above the mattress (in any bed, ever), so that one is both lovely and structurally approved! Nicely scoped.
I have done our taxes. Ugh. I'm going to re- do with us filing separately to see if it makes a difference, but I don't think it will be a material difference. Blergh.
Now I think I will look at job listings. So I can pay my taxes.
I did make hot cocoa. Accidentally, six servings (I adjusted the recipe down in my head but I then put the full amount of unsweetened cocoa in, so... now there is extra hot cocoa waiting for later. Not a bad sitch, really.)
Progress is being made.
Did the two hardest things: cleaning the guinea pig cage and vacuuming.
Got some dust up from under bedroom furniture.
Now I'm going to pay some bills then go get coffee and take a break before I do some cooking.
I’m off work, did the dishes and started coffee for tomorrow. I’ve got Bookclub at 7. I’m going to try to get taxes done before then.
I think I want to try to find/start a book club this year. Maybe.
My onerous tasks were taxes and changing the cat litter today, both of which I did. Shovelling the driveway didn't feel so onerous, but I'll count it anyway.
I have an online Job Fair tomorrow through the Jewish Council for the Aging (I did a 50+ job search multi-week workshop with them several years ago that was actually pretty good), so I'll be interested to see what's what. They used to have a few federal agency represented. Guessing that might not be the case this round.
Pretty furniture!
Job~ma, JenP! I'm interested to hear who is there
I will just be over here making inarticulate noises at the Harvey Ellis jewelry box. Which I do not need! But it's pretty.
If y'all could hold your thumbs/cross your fingers for J., I would appreciate it - he had two interviews for contract work today (after the meeting with our tax accountant, argh), and some money coming in would be good.
Fingers crossed and contract ~ma for J coming your way.
And thanks, -t! I will report back.
