It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

Dust

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Progress is being made.

Did the two hardest things: cleaning the guinea pig cage and vacuuming.

Got some dust up from under bedroom furniture.

Now I'm going to pay some bills then go get coffee and take a break before I do some cooking.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I’m off work, did the dishes and started coffee for tomorrow. I’ve got Bookclub at 7. I’m going to try to get taxes done before then.

I think I want to try to find/start a book club this year. Maybe.

My onerous tasks were taxes and changing the cat litter today, both of which I did. Shovelling the driveway didn't feel so onerous, but I'll count it anyway.

I have an online Job Fair tomorrow through the Jewish Council for the Aging (I did a 50+ job search multi-week workshop with them several years ago that was actually pretty good), so I'll be interested to see what's what. They used to have a few federal agency represented. Guessing that might not be the case this round.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

I will just be over here making inarticulate noises at the Harvey Ellis jewelry box. Which I do not need! But it's pretty.

If y'all could hold your thumbs/cross your fingers for J., I would appreciate it - he had two interviews for contract work today (after the meeting with our tax accountant, argh), and some money coming in would be good.

Fingers crossed and contract ~ma for J coming your way.

And thanks, -t! I will report back.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Fingers crossed!

Good job, onerous task do-ers!

I paid off not two, but three (Ha ha ha! - The Count) past due bills. One online (a most unfair parking ticket), one via Venmo (therapist) and one via check with envelope and stamp like some primitive being who only had financial instruments from the 19th century.

I ran this morning, and then did a couple long-walk errands and have 15,759 steps for the day (so far).

On top of the task doing, I'm feeling fairly sore but productive. I've punted the item pick-up to tomorrow, but I should be able to do one of the cooking projects tonight.

Self care: I poured a tall glass of cold fizzy water and drank from it every time I entered the kitchen, which definitely increased my hydration for the day. Also, I took all my supplements.

I have a doctor appointment Friday, a skincare appointment on Sunday, and a hair appointment on Monday. The hair appointment is with a stylist I have only been to twice before. The first time was probably 10 years ago, and the other time was maybe 7 years ago. But she's super nice and interesting and I've kept her in the back of my mind, so I'm excited that she called me back and booked me.

I will just be over here making inarticulate noises at the Harvey Ellis jewelry box. Which I do not need! But it's pretty.

Thrive to spite them

-t. I don't think you'll be disappointed in the boons.

Happiest of Birthdays to Pix and Maria.

I need to go throw a load of laundry in the washer . That is going to be my only onerous task.
