I had my dermatology appointment. I don't have skin cancer ! Yay. I do have xanthelasma which is the yellow spots. It's cholesterol build up under the skin and can turn into a raised area. The dermatologist said it would scar of removed so she didn't recommend that at the time. I was worried and messaged my Dr who said my cholesterol levels were awesome in Dec so he didn't thin I had high cholesterol but he could recheck in my next appointment which is next month.

The white spot is Seborrheic keratoses or the start. She froze that off. Those are benign but end up looking like a brown raised mole and I don't want that on my face. I do have one on my temple. Apparently you can just peel them off when they are like the one on my temple

Also solely due to the lack of clipboard history and only being able to copy and paste one thing at a time I'm never getting a Google Pixel again. Unless they fix it I might reconsider. It is the most annoying thing ever to constantly have to find the thing I want and copy it and paste it. I guess I could copy it into Keep Notes or something but I am used to Samsung's amazing clipboard.

I can't remember how to spell either of the skin issues enough for auto correct to kick in so I keep having to look it up. But Google can't figure out what I'm asking for either so I have to Google a description.

For those who are in the battle against time zones: Timeshifter app worked for me.

Root canal achieved, and when I asked how it went, the doc said, "It actually looked better than expected, and I did the build while I was in there, so Dr. A will have a much easier time of it (rebuild/crown) than she was expecting. Nice! (I mean, I was awake for it; he just wasn't narrating as he went as some do.)

Toe feels better, and AZO and antibiotics seem to be working as advertised, so things are looking up!

I found root canal's misery to be slightly...overhyped. Not that I want another one. But the dentist that wanted his chair back from the "big" room and made my disabled ass get up in the middle? Mean. Literally added insult to injury.

Ouch, JenP, so sorry about all of the medical things happening at once (or at all!). Much health~ma.

Had an absolute lovely time with David today in SF. Saw some sights, had food, hit some stores, listened to music, got books and music (thanks to David), saw wonderful pictures of JZ.

Working on the after-work plans for tomorrow and the day after and where and what to see while I'm here. And in one week from now, I will get to hug my cat again and sleep in my own bed and shower in my own shower. The little things.

Couldn’t sleep so I binged Dead Boy Detective Agency. Rewatched the first three and inhaled the rest. Dear self - please don’t let your pain get so bad that you have to skip work and watch eight hours of Telly while you desperately try to mitigate it, hmm? Which is what I’m trying to do with this new job but getting through the next month is going to be rough. I’m going to have to let go and let it be messy.

Shir was here all day while I tried to finish off my last responsibilities for the Memorial.

I was doing SO well getting the pictures printed up in collage posters and some full size shots on poster board and then...Walgreen called me back to say that my $150 order could not be completed because they ran out of paper. When will they get more paper? Saturday.

I can pivot to doing the single image posters at FedEx and try to finish the collage posters at another Walgreens, but I was like a half hour from having it all done and now it's several other hours and more difficult pickups.

Sylvie and Juliana have been absolute champs assisting me (you'll be unsurprised to find they're super competent and capable). But we found out today that the easels we wanted to rent for the event to hold up the pictures were...wildly expensive, not going to be delivered and hugely inconvenient.

There are backup plans, but my hopes to throw money at the problem and not have to deal with it are quashed.

It was fun having Shir to assist and show her around the neighborhood, and she helped me stay on task.

After I sent her back home I tried to pull together the music playlist and guess what? The music I was choosing began to affect my feelings.

It's almost as if music were designed to evoke emotional responses.

There was a moment of tears running down my face and a whole separate moment of sobbing. Because those particular songs are about very specific places with Jacqueline.

I'm looking forward to seeing so many beloved faces in the next few days.
