I don't feel worse than in 2016, because I was totally blindsided by those results. For this election, I knew Trump winning was possible, but didn't seem likely. So I feel like shit, and I'm angry, and really bitter. Like, of fucking COURSE this country is a bunch of Christofascist misogynist transphobic homophobic racist science-denying bigots.

Some good news: the salted caramel I made from scratch to go on top of the apple pie bars I stress-baked yesterday? It fucking ROCKS. So if anyone thinks a caramel latte, hot chocolate, or just straight-up drinking caramel through a straw will help in any way, come over to my house and I'll hook you up..

At a family party this weekend, one person brought apple dip made with a layer of cream cheese topped by a layer of salted caramel, topped by pecan halves. Very tasty! Someone else brought a pumpkin pie. Your local genius (that would be me) scooped up some of that caramel-y goodness and put it on my slice of pie, and then put whipped cream on top. Believe me when I tell you the angels sang.
So if anyone thinks a caramel latte, hot chocolate, or just straight-up drinking caramel through a straw will help in any way, come over to my house and I'll hook you up..

Thrive to spite them
So . I was looking at CNN's comparison of the exit polls for 2016, 2020, and 2024.
Trump lost the white male college educated vote. He also lost support among white males without a college education. In fact the only white demo in terms of gender and education he stayed steady with was white women with no college education.
It wasn't enough to change the election but I think it's an interesting statistic.
I also think there are going to be a lot of people who will be shocked when the leopards don't just eat their faces but rip them to shreds. And some who will say they are glad it's the leopard they voted for and not the Commie woman.
Right now I'm hoping that somehow Kennedy and Musk don't actually get any jobs in the administration. Its a very faint hope.
