This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I’ve had therapy and am now watching GBBS. I’d be up for an accountability cleaning or task afternoon session if anyone wants to join.

I also need to run yo the pet store and grocery. I’m going to try to sneak in an hour nap also as I assume I’ll be up to at least midnight.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Voted.

About a dozen in line ahead of me. Took about five minutes to get to the table. By the time I received my ballot, there were about a dozen in line behind me. So, pretty steady flow, not much delay. No parking issues.

The tally machine said my ballot was #515 out of an anticipated 1500.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

How's everyone doing so far?

::twitching::

This is not so good for my blood pressure.

Trying to distract myself with PBS Passport on the tablet. Current threat level: pangolin.

Periods of concentration achieved, but my distract-o-meter is very active today. Got to the grocery store and vet to pick up an Rx this morning. Work work is proving elusive at the moment...

Coding and Sleeping

Having a frustrating day getting things to work at work and I got stressed out enough that I broke my bike-chain fidget toy. I was able to repair the broken links though.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I dropped off my ballot at the gym this morning (it really is a very convenient polling place) and have been in a meeting most of the morning that absorbed most of my attention so other than the whole "election uncertainty impacting our revenue outlook for the balance of the year" discussion (the general stance people are admitting to is "either way people will need to cook, right?" which is kind of comforting) linking to the "are we all going to get laid off?" discussion I'm doing pretty well. Considering what kind of comfort food to have for lunch

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

How's everyone doing so far?

"Thankfully" this is my first day back to work after over a week away, so I have distraction in the form of trying to comb through my Slack and email.

Our wings are not tired.

Busy day so far. Skinner started the day with digestive issues at 6AM. (yuck) Maybe anxiety from being home or traveling, more likely he ate something his very first visit to his favorite dog park. Dealt with that and took him to the park again, watching closely. Got home and marked up the sample ballots to take to the polls. (efficient) Cleaned up another round of Skinner deposits. (at least he does so right in front of the door) Drugged him. Went and voted!! (patriotism!) No wait with plenty of staff and machines. Steady stream of people. Early vote seems to have the crazy lines here while day of vote is smooth. Went out to eat breakfast at my favorite joint for such. (Egg n You) Went to the grocery store to buy requirements for tonight. (wine) No more messes from Skinner while we were out voting, dining, and shopping. (YAY!!) Put away the groceries and tossed some chicken/rice/pumpkin in the instant pot for Skinner to eat the next couple days. (yum)

Now putting my feet up while I summons the energy to go downstairs for a swim.

Punishingly Intricate

Watching polls in PA . In a very red precinct but lots of Dems too. Going smoothly so far.

Glad to hear it's going smoothly, lisah.

Glad you made it back safe and sound, Laura -- so great to see you both!
