Thrive to spite them

I didn't know about the lights then Thursday night I went out to see if I could see anything.. the sky looked a little different but too many trees.

Last night I got home, took Tylenol PM and went to bed. I'm so tired. We have been getting so much extra freight at work and overnight shift is being....well overnight ..so it's just a lot. I think we are down to the equivalent of 6 pallets left from old stuff. And between the 2 trucks of non perishables we will get there will be 18 pallets total.

I am so tired and so ready for Monday

I leave for vacation Monday morning, go to NY to catch flight from JFK. I’m packing now and in that stressful mindset of what am I forgetting, so I’m brain dumping here for assistance.

- train tickets to and back from ny are purchased
- ride in NY is secured
- plane tickets are on phone
- passport is on bag
- Vrbo host in Paris has been in contact
- audiobooks downloaded

Packing:
Plug adapters
3 pants
2 dresses
3 shirts
3 sweaters
1 wool wrap
1 rain coat
2 pairs tights
4 pairs socks
4 pairs underwear
2 bras
Pjs
Belt
2 pairs shoes
Toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, moleskin, laundry sheet detergent, band-aids, meds.

Still to pack in “personal item” phone, charge cords, battery packs, headphones, neck pillow, knitting, water bottle, snacks, guidebook.

Still need to do: notify credit cards I plan to use, load apply pay, get dog care schedule set, clean house so I don’t come back to full chaos, load up Mac with groceries.

What am I missing?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I always try to take earplugs and a sleep mask.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I've been asked by a co-worker to participate in a group costume for Halloween (because her children are making her dress up). Of the Inside Out 2 characters, I have been assigned Ennui.

I was about to crawl into bed Thursday night, thinking I had missed the light show when I saw someone post another photo so I threw on some clothes and walked over to Loyola Beach. Only 100 yards or so from city lights, it wasn't spectacular to the naked eye, but watching thru the phone camera was pretty cool. I could see color differences and movement without the camera, but I am somewhat practiced at noticing things like that.

Meds are ready. I think my headphones can double as earplugs if needed and I’ve never used a sleep mask.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

I follow on Instagram the artist who sculpted this for the New Yorker. I commented that it looked like Lady Penelope, and she replied to me and said that she never even heard of The Thunderbirds before! How can someone who makes puppets for a living not know about The Thunderbirds?
