I'm a fucking amazing catch!--Fiona Gallagher, Shameless(US)

I don't blame people for wanting fall to get here. I usually have a few pumpkin spice things a year...not something I get super-excited about, but autumn is. we've been dealing with this repair job for the individual water meters for about a month as of today. It would be better having people in here if we were getting a new kitchen or something instead of a water bill. basically, if you can avoid an HOA, you'll be happier. Haven't posted about that because arbitrary crap at someone else's request/demand is not all that new for me, but there are limits. mess, and, noise and holes in the ceiling. Also, mom and I already spend kind of a crazy-making amount of time together...waiting around for flaky workmen is not helping.

Thrive to spite them

I'm cold for some reason. I hate it. I just want to wrap up in a blanket and take a nap. Which I can't do at work

Last night when we were in bed M started singing "I'm going to get a female President...I'm going to vote for a female President...I'm getting a female President". He is very excited about Harris .

I feel it's too early for pumpkin spice anything as well but it is what it is. Although school here starts Aug 8 so fall seems a lot closer (they get out at the end of May)

Do you have a fever, askye?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Last night when we were in bed M started singing "I'm going to get a female President...I'm going to vote for a female President...I'm getting a female President". He is very excited about Harris .

That is delightful

It's funny how August feels like the end of summer ( I guess because of all the back to school stuff in the air?) but is also the height of summer. It's when it's hottest (here at least) and there's still a lot of daylight. If we had something to mark that pagan holiday halfway between the solstice and the equinox it might help. We have something for the others like that. Groundhog Day, Halloween, May Day, but nothing in August.

Our wings are not tired.

I joined a FB group, Florida Women for Harris, and they have gone nuts, over 30,000 members and growing at a mad rate. Lots of them are from deep red areas, like The Villages. Encouraging. There are bunches of pictures of plastic flamingoes painted blue wearing pearls and sneakers on people's lawns. So cute! Makes me wish I had a FL lawn.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I think there's something going around. I had a fever early Sunday morning and slept for like 14 hours. I'm upright today, but I'm not thrilled about it.

Thrive to spite them

No fever. I don't feel cold now. I think it was just from being active and then sitting at lunch...because I'm making the frozen section look nice right now and it's not bothering me .

I'm just congested and I took another dose of Sudafed and it hit after lunch and I was acting a little spacey. Possibly a lot spacey.

Yes.

It was mild as heck but clearly a shakey shake.
