Zoe: Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing? Book: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

I can't help wondering if anyone in the Republican party realizes that the ultimate childless cat lady is Taylor Swift. Is J.D. Vance going to take on the Swifties? (or, more likely, vice versa)

Hasn't that already happened? Not Vance, but somebody saying Swift was a bad role model because she doesn't have kids. And I have heard that Swift concerts are full of GOTV outreach

Seems early for pumpkin spice, but only by a little.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Dolly Parton is also a childless cat lady.

My therapist is leaving. The good new is someone is going to replace her. I’m trying not to spiral.

I bought a canned pumpkin spice latte from a store the other day, AIWFG!

THE SPICE MUST FLOW, Vortex. Resistance is futile.

Eta I think Teppy likes actual pumpkin rather than pumpkin spice? It could be a "both are good" situation or I could be completely wrong, of course, but that's the bell ringing somewhere in my head

I was going to say "It's July and I am at the beach; that is too early for pumpkin spice,"** but honestly, if someone offered me a piece of pumpkin pie right now, I'd devour it.

**(I only like pumpkin *spice* when it's paired with actual pumpkin. The flavor of the spices on their own are whatever, they're fine, but I really don't walk around craving nutmeg.)

[edit] I was posting this while -t was editing her post, and I am thrilled that -t has got my back!

Mmm, pumpkin pie is so tasty. …pie in general is tasty. Mmm, pie.

That said I am not ready to admit it’s over halfway through summer, much less that spice time is nigh! No.

fyi, there's going to be a new edition of knitting with dog hair. The author?editor? is asking for people to send their dog hair (seemingly, it's warmer than wool)
