{{{Pix}}} I’m so sorry. That is entirely too much.
shingles. In my EYE.
Oh no! Sympathies and best wishes on the rest of it, I don’t mean to downplay any of it, but this in particular is hitting my lizard brain as terrible. I hope the reality is not so bad.

Me too!
David- I don't really know how to do this, but you need, like tier 3 support from UCSF. I am going to guess that there is also a University IT support AND a Medical IT supprt, and the right hand won't know what the left hand is doing. Is there an angry 50 year old woman at JZ's old office who could help with this? Because stuff like this chaps my ass and I am always escalating, but I know who to contact and what to say to escalate here at my University/Medical Center. I am 100% sure there is a profile on there that was somehow remote installed and it needs to be removed. I will ask my IT friends if they have any connections at UCSF, but they would be on the education side. This is ridiculous! I am angry!
That is way too much, Pix.

No, I'm doing the dark humor thing because I'll freak out if I think about it too much. I'm lucky I seem to have only a very mild outbreak — a dendritic lesion in one cornea and a small rash next to my eye — but it being in my eye is not good news, especially since it's likely I've had this lesion for two weeks. Urgent Care doc diagnosed it as an abrasion initially. Doctors recommend antivirals within a couple of days of the outbreak to lessen long-term complications, and I'm way past that. I could have corneal scarring or any number of other scary complications, and the painful symptoms can last for months even if they do eventually go away. So...I guess I'm just treating it as a ha-ha-shingles-in-my-eye-I-have-the-pox because I have to. I'm on antiviral eyedrops four times a day and antiviral antibiotics three times a day for 10 days. Time will tell.
Come on antivirals, time to be magically effective!
This is ridiculous! I am angry!
I appreciate your anger on my behalf, Sophia! It's frustrating as fuck.
Oh, Pix, that's a daunting of stressors, an unfair pile-on.
Got back from Buffalo last night. Mr. S was discharged from the hospital on Friday, and stayed with the nanny over the weekend. We have referrals to various therapists for him. Let's see how it goes.
Meant to say I'm wishing you all the best. This is so hard.
Shingles in the eye is no bueno!! I’m so glad they figured it out and you’re getting treated.
