Thrive to spite them

I read that a GOp Senator sent a letter to Congress and Harris pushing them to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Biden because if he can't run for President then how can he be President? Which I am not surprised about..

Since all kinda of unprecedented things are happening can we have Biden stepping aside, Harris becoming President, picking a solid VP choice, then something huge and positive happening while she is President that would really bring people to vote for her and she is elected President and a rogue wormhole opens up and sucks a bunch of MAGA politicians and then the Hellmourh opens up and takes the rest and we live happily ever after in a very boring, full world . And Elon Musk decides to give up technology and go on a solo trek through some where remote and no one hears from him again....

I'm sleep deprived. But I do really wish something majorly positive that is big and noticeable to a lot of people happens with the Democrats to get more people voting in November.

I can get behind that scenario, askye.

My biggest hope lies with this getting more young folk out to vote.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

No idea what the Trump campaign will actually do, but I will watch with popcorn if they force Vance to drop out and have to select a new VP.

Our wings are not tired.

Vance being forced out would be delightful. The cult would accept whatever excuse they gave. No clue what the odds are of it happening.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Vance being forced out would be delightful.

I would experience such pure happiness that I would definitely lose my soul. (Worth it.)

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

A little schadenfreude (in my opinion) - the tRump campaign is complaining about the money they spent campaigning against Biden and want to be reimbursed (guess they actually paid the bills?). Their early revised campaign materials seem to be focusing on Kamala Harris as a sex object (?).

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm really encouraged by how Dems are coalescing around Harris, and the political conversation has moved on to her VP pick. You know the timing on this has been exquisitely orchestrated, and I sense Biden's hand in that, particularly ramping up the calls to resign the nomination as the RNC convention rambled on.

Also my joy at seeing the Rs discombobulated by this turn of events. That is sweet.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Agreed on all counts, Theo. I'm feeling...hopeful? Is that what this feeling is?

JenP - Jul 23, 2024 10:09:14 am PDT #1726 of 2648

I think I might be, too.

I grinned when I just saw a headline that Schumer and Jeffries just endorsed her. Oh yeah, there's some calculated stage managing going on.

I expect a family might feel this way when a beloved grandfather finally admits the cataracts have gotten bad and gives up their car keys.
