There was a liquor store next to a theatre I used to work at here that we nick named the Russian Mafia Liquor Store because we were convinced it was a front.

It's still there. In fact the big condos that were build had to leave out one corner of the lot when they built so that this never busy store could remain.

We tried a few times to go to a Russian restaurant that was never open. Still not sure if it was, like, unlucky like me, or a front. still haven't had Russian food, though.
