Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

Our wings are not tired.

I am so sorry that the digestive horrors are persisting, erika. May the awfulness give you a break.

"Somewhere in this building is our talent." Toby Ziegler, my spirit animal

I thought I was getting a break, but I think they just changed tactics. Really over it, though, in any case.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm spending the holiday morning catching up on the puzzles I missed while traveling. Just finished the last 5 Wordles and at least got them all. Considering comments I'm thinking I may not be so lucky with connections.

Happy 4th to all. Heading out in a bit for the Otter Lake boat parade. Friends and family and a super cute flag skort, so all is well.

Punishingly Intricate

Ugh, erika, hope your systems settle down and act right!

Happy Fourth to all who celebrate!

I feel like today's Connections was much easier, but that may just be me.

Yes per the bot today’s connections was way easier. I love that they have the bot now because sometimes I’m like “this was impossible!” And then find out it was a 2/5 and I was overthinking it but most people weren’t.

There is a huge bizarre America celebration happening before this France v Paraguay game. I mean I get that it’s 4th of July but…

I feel bad for the folks who are in full sun on the field singing in blazers. They must be melting! Also have no idea who some of these announcers are and suspect I should.

Ugh. People were setting off fireworks very close by until about 3am…and then set off more at 6am! wtf! Who is setting off 6am fireworks???

I am so sleepy.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Our airconditioner broke yesterday. Gary called the repair people, and they say it's the blower motor. They're checking the availability of a new one. In the meantime we have plenty of fans going. Bleah.

Thrive to spite them

Well the horrible heat has finally broken. Instead of heat index ranging from 100-107 its just been in the upper 90s. I think 99 might have been the highest.

I keep leaving work early because I cant get cool enough. I'm heat intolerant and my body generates an insane amount of heat. I'll feel comfortable or even a little cold and Matthew will tell me I'm like a space heater

My neck fan keeps running out of power.

Sheryl ....freeze some water bottles and wrap them in thin towels or t shirt and then put it at the small of your back or your lap. Will help cool yoi off.

Also get aloe gel and liberally apply it and sit in front of a fan. It evaporates slower than water and helps cool you off.

Or it did me when I was at the beach before we had ac there.
