I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

FWIW, Jess, I have had really good luck revivifying sourdough starters that seemed like they ought to be dead. Presumably, Buffy Sours will be well-suited to that, if needed.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

No idea. Some people say on Google that I might need a new version or to clear my cache, but ai'm not sure getting back in there is worth it to me--I'm there to talk to my friends, not tinker. It's been a long time since it's been fun, anyway. But at least, it's not really that I'm busted--it can be hard to tell and even harder to have somebody help.

Fingers crossed that it will fix itself without you needing to do anything, erika

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have maintained a sourdough starter by feeding it at most once every two weeks and it's fine!

In news from here, there were big layoffs at my job, but I did not get laid off, so I guess that's good. Although I was pretty prepared to accept the ~6 months of severance I would have gotten.

Big layoffs sound scary. I think we are moving in that direction but my union would like us all to strike? I really don't wanna.

I had a sourdough in the fridge I hadn't fed for like 3 months and it was pretty easy to revive. It's resilient than you'd expect.

K and I are almost done watching all of the Great Canadian Bakeoff and I am sad.

Six months severance sounds pretty good. Not getting laid off, also pretty good. On a scale of everything sucks to things could be worse, I guess. Jeepers.

There’ve been a couple of teacher’s strikes and the Kaiser strike around here recently. And I think county workers? I have not really followed how successful they were as far as what agreements were reached but presumably they got something…they were all pretty short which really could mean anything.

Six months severance would be nice but not the “looking for a job” part so…yeah.

Thrive to spite them

quester the job loss sucks but the severance sounds good. I second the recommendation about a credit union. They have good resources and sometimes you just have to live in an area to be able to join one.

I really should switch to one but the thought of changing all my bank stuff is daunting.

erika for awhile on FB anytime I liked something or tried to comment I would get an error message that my activity was too frequent. Even when it was the first time that day and it didn't matter what it was. I think I reinstalled the app and that helped.
