Six months severance would be nice but not the “looking for a job” part so…yeah.

Thrive to spite them

quester the job loss sucks but the severance sounds good. I second the recommendation about a credit union. They have good resources and sometimes you just have to live in an area to be able to join one.

I really should switch to one but the thought of changing all my bank stuff is daunting.

erika for awhile on FB anytime I liked something or tried to comment I would get an error message that my activity was too frequent. Even when it was the first time that day and it didn't matter what it was. I think I reinstalled the app and that helped.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jesse they are still looking for someone in Woods Hole!

Haha, that makes me want to work there less than ever!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Awww, FB memories pulled up a post from 2014 with a comment by Burrell.

On the whole I do like seeing everybody's living words and being reminded of them and our interaction. But it does have a melancholy pang.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

The stars finally aligned for me to have friends over and light up the fire globe Friday night. Turns out it works beautifully and did not set my lawn ablaze, so it wasn't a wasted purchase after all. (Likewise putting my patio furniture to use for the first time in ages.) Once the fallen limb woodpile dries out from the current rainy weather I'm going to start chopping it down to usable lengths and burning it off.

Fire globe sounds intriguing!

I was just thinking of Burrell the other day. It’s so shitty that so many of our people have passed away.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I may have slept for only 3-4 hours tonight and then headed to work and from work went to physical therapy, but oh, let me tell you how alive I feel after I've been out and not next to safe spaces for about an hour today AND DIDN'T DIE. Cannot recommend it for obvious reasons, but it's exhilarating.

I also got the permission to work from home, which I will use to a. stay safe, and b. not to be next to colleagues in the bomb shelter who are talking about how there's no chance of survival if it's a direct hit.

This really needs to end.

Our wings are not tired.

I can't even imagine how challenging this is for you and yours, Shir. I am so grateful you take the time to connect with us. I'm not sure I see a quick path for this ending, and I have zero confidence in the decision-making process on your side or ours.

I am home, despite having been anticipating being on a cruise for a few days. My cousin's girlfriend was supposed to bring their birth certificates with them because their passports had expired. Ooops, she grabbed her late husband's birth certificate by mistake, not actually reading it because of the fine print and not bothering to grab her readers. Needless to say, she felt horrible, but he could not go, so the rest of us were not going without him. Granted, he is a grown ass adult and should have checked it himself, and I could have asked her to send me pictures of them to verify stuff was in order. But money down the drain on the cruise.

We did go to Key West yesterday and had a lovely time, and are generally doing all kinds of beachy stuff here.

Jesus, Laura! What a waste.

Same here.
