Whoever was asking about glasses, I just received my new glasses (one regular, one prescription sunglasses) from Zenni. They're awesome and I paid less than $60 total. That's with a coupon, but I found it online with minimal searching. Recommended.

I have a eye exam and glasses credit to use before the end of June (shift from Cobra to new job insurance). I usually go to Costco but i might go back to the place I used to go here in town. I should call them tomorrow.

I have oneroused! I figured out how much i need out of savings, started that process, paid the packers and the cleaner, canceled my power and internet back in LA, went to pet store and Aldi, and did some puttering around.

Hello, all. Hugs and/or thumbs up to all who need them. I was mostly offline yesterday, both because work gives us Juneteenth off and because I was dealing with getting my apartment’s AC repaired. And I will be dealing with AC repairs again today, because yesterday’s didn’t take. Yay.

Smonster, I’m glad you’ve arrived! I hope we have a chance to hang out soonish.

I’m project managing a working group where almost everyone in the group outranks me. Which is fine, except for the part where several of them have decided this means its meetings (the timing of which they decided) are kinda optional. Which is also fine, I can’t very well make the peer of my bosses boss show up—except we make decisions at those meetings. And then they do show up three meetings later wanting to relitigate decisions that were not only made, but we’ve made subsequent choices and plans based on those decisions. And I just want to say, “My dude. Decisions are made by those who show up. You didn’t, so take a seat.” But that would not be great for my long term employment prospects, so I don’t. So, so over it.

Had a colonoscopy today (10 years since first one) and it was a-ok! Also, I’m expecting a job offer to come in today. So, everything is coming up Lisa!

I am in the office after yesterday's holiday and there's one other person in my department here (he came in 10 minutes after me - it was eerily quiet up until then). I feel like I missed a memo.

Ooh fingers crossed for the job thing Lisa! I got another “thanks for applying we will keep it on file” auto-email so guess I better do my job today. Sigh. I feel like in the past I never had trouble getting an interview (didn’t always wow after that but) but now can’t get one to save my life. Very frustrating!
