Emmett is 30??
He will be in September!
I feel like they each kept dating people until they got to someone with an acceptably cool name to go with their own. They sound like a couple in a fab piece of fiction.
They are very cool and interesting! She recently became the director of Filoli House, which is impressive at her age: [link]
She's got a great museum curatorial background.
He was a developer at Apple but has moved to Roblox.
I am so tired of the uphill climb of having a big number in Accounts Receivable for my business and fijghting to have enough cash flow to keep things moving forward on all the projects. Usually I'm pretty happy with being a business owner, but there are days...
That absolutely sucks, ND. So stressful. Slow and late-payers - opposite of helpful.
It is so stressful, ND. With us, it is doctors, who can afford it far more than we can, who are the slow payers.
Welp, DH's mom was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that has spread to her lungs. So. We just got off the phone with her and his younger brother, who is with her. She seemed quite herself, because who else is she going to be? He is going up on Sunday to stay with her for a short visit. She's at an independent living stage of a swank place up in PA. All the ease and comfort, for everyone involved.
Oh, comfort and ease to everyone touched by this. And hugs if you want them.
ND, I'm sorry for the difficulties--may that improve for you.

Thank you all for the bday wishes! It was very nice. I got two cakes! But I have guys here who will power through both of them toot sweet--no cake for days for me. I also got exactly what I wanted--no presents! Nothing new to dust! Honestly, I have all the stuff I could possibly want, let alone need. I'm clearing out some, this year. No new "stuff"!
Laura, I'm sorry for your wealthy late payers. Some people just lack empathy, is what.
I’m sorry it’s such a struggle to get paid, everyone struggling.

It certainly seems to be so for my mother. Then again, at 86 and 5/6 it's not as if she has a lot of options for hanging out with people who
aren't
younger.
We did some of that hanging out tonight when I took her out for dinner at a local Greek place. My chicken souvlaki was really good, her Greek salad not so much. But I made up for it by stopping at another local Greek place to pick up baklava for dessert.
