Also failed connections, only got yellow
Same. I felt like my brain was soup, trying to figure out the rest.

I got yellow and green on Connections, and I knew what blue was, just couldn't get the right combo.
I thought I knew what Blue was but two of them mean nothing to me, so. I never got anywhere green or purple, brain=soup describes it well
You all have psyched me out on Connections, dammit! I got yellow, have one mistake left and am stuck!
I'm stumped on Wordle with three greens, and this thread is not giving me hope!
I had a good puzzle morning, though Wordle was surprising. Got a purple first Connections w/ no mistakes, but blue and green took a long time to sort out. Having said that, I've blown both Wordle and Connections TWICE over the last wo weeks. Streak, schmeak.
Totally not a word, Wordle.
Just wound up with two nice bottles of gin left over from our firm gifts. My bar has no gin so I jumped at the chance. I'm not so much a gin person, but when I tasted them during gift-selection I thought they were cool and voted for them so I'm excited to have them.
Obviously I'm not just tossing tonic in 'em. Any suggestions are welcome.
I always like a gimlet. I feel like I am always seeing interesting looking cocktail recipes that call for gin but I can't think of any right now
Ahhhhh, got it. I agree this is only borderline a word.
I always like a gimlet.
Seconded!
Shawn Bon had a good tip for a modern gimlet, which was to use a mix of fresh lime juice and lime cordial, which tastes better to the modern palate. Raymond Chandler advocated for Rose's Lime which is not the original recipe anymore and a janky corn syrup thing now.
I recommend El Guapo Lime Cordial, as it's from a woman owned company out of NOLA and yummy: [link]
Also it's nice to have some Lime Cordial around if you're feeling very Mary Poppins.
Negroni's are classic, and simple to make being equal parts gin, Campari and Sweet Vermouth.
Aviation is a delicious cocktail.
Another classic and simple gin cocktail is the Bee's Knees which is gin, fresh lemon and honey syrup. (Regular honey won't blend so you need to thin it with water by making it a syrup.) Tasty and very drinkable.
