Totally not a word, Wordle.
Just wound up with two nice bottles of gin left over from our firm gifts. My bar has no gin so I jumped at the chance. I'm not so much a gin person, but when I tasted them during gift-selection I thought they were cool and voted for them so I'm excited to have them.

Obviously I'm not just tossing tonic in 'em. Any suggestions are welcome.
I always like a gimlet. I feel like I am always seeing interesting looking cocktail recipes that call for gin but I can't think of any right now
Ahhhhh, got it. I agree this is only borderline a word.
I always like a gimlet.
Seconded!
Shawn Bon had a good tip for a modern gimlet, which was to use a mix of fresh lime juice and lime cordial, which tastes better to the modern palate. Raymond Chandler advocated for Rose's Lime which is not the original recipe anymore and a janky corn syrup thing now.
I recommend El Guapo Lime Cordial, as it's from a woman owned company out of NOLA and yummy: [link]
Also it's nice to have some Lime Cordial around if you're feeling very Mary Poppins.
Negroni's are classic, and simple to make being equal parts gin, Campari and Sweet Vermouth.
Aviation is a delicious cocktail.
Another classic and simple gin cocktail is the Bee's Knees which is gin, fresh lemon and honey syrup. (Regular honey won't blend so you need to thin it with water by making it a syrup.) Tasty and very drinkable.
So my New Year’s resolution was to post again and you are all talking about gimlets! I love a gimlet, and I actually loved Rose’s Lime! That is how I taught many an open bartender how to make a gimlet, because they never knew what I wanted when I ordered it. They often gave me a ginourmous glass full, rather than a cocktail. Now I don’t know what to do when avoiding sugar because even tonic water has metric tons! Gin plus club soda plus a squeeze of lime?
Hi, Sophia!
I dislike gin, so I have nothing to offer here.
Obviously I'm not just tossing tonic in 'em. Any suggestions are welcome.
If you have more of a floral-forward gin, like Hendricks, a gin fizz is nice.
I was making my own lime cordial for a while there because of all the gimlet discussion here back when. Gin spritz, Sophia? Ooh, you could try that True Lime stuff - it’s so good in Diet Coke, might be good with gin
Oh, I love True Line! I got some in my stocking this year. I will have to try it
