I am embarrassed by how old I was before I found out people didn't pay for room service with, like, rubies and shit. (There wasn't *tons* of money when I came up, but I'm not sure why my father acts like such a yokel. If anything, it's gotten worse, too. As if the more Stepmonster wants to climb, the more he goes from casual to Little Abner Retires, which isn't who I grew up with, mostly.)

I found out that a local bubble tea place has some Filipino groceries for sale, and does lumpia platters by pre-order. Alas, it's in units of 25 spring rolls, which are less like the lumpia I got from the Filipino food truck a few weeks ago and more like the standard ones available at nearby Chinese buffets. Still good, but I perhaps would not have chosen to make them the entrees of all my meals this weekend had I known.

Matt that is disappointing but perhaps for the best that you don’t have tasty tasty giant quantities of lumpia easily available?
I woke up (on east coast time) at like 9am and my brother in law was like “if we are going for a run we need to go” and I’m like “…I haven’t had coffee yet???” Compromise was reached, I have had coffee and he is at the grocery store and we will run when he is back. Though now I want to digest my coffee.
