Same. I wake up to raccoons on the roof pretty often, but people are a whole other level!
Natter 78: I might need to watch some Buffy for inspiration
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Fun fact: If you're home sick and all you want in the world is mac-n-cheese but all you have cheese-wise is not enough feta...
Cook the noods in chicken broth and feta brine (only enough liquid that you're not draining), when they're done stir in some raw eggs and butter and the paltry quantity of feta.
It is surprisingly cheesy and satisfying.
I just had my annual review and got a "strong achieves", yay!
Huzzah! I just did a happy dance in my kitchen. Well deserved, dear Atropa.
I wouldn't have expected anything less, but it's good to see people get theirs. I think my boss has given up on me a little since I didn't have a posse for the disability committee and ended up recruiting one of my friends who is almost a rival(Most of my disability friendships are that way, though, really. Like we all periodically discover we signed up for the same sad contest.) Now, I get calls where I get thanked a lot. Which sounds good, but really means the person wants credit for engaging without being helpful. Maybe that's why vets don't always like "Thank you for your service," either.

We have had wild peacocks on our roof.
I did not know peacocks came in wild. That's really something
Have decided to watch Twelfth Night and open a bottle of wine. Very refined, very classy.
Only now getting to Connections, but purple first
Eta and Wordle in 3! Maybe I should always do these in the evening. But that way lies missing the day entirely and breaking streaks, alas
We had a peacock named Romeo who hung out in the open air kitchen we had when we were staying in Hawaii in 2020. We took some great pictures of him but he was always very nosy about what we were eating!
If I recall correctly, peacocks are also obnoxiously noisy. So it's like having a really glamorous drag queen rooster hanging around your place.
