Happy birthday, Hil!
It’s Michigan-typical cold here now. Which is fine. But usually my body sort of adjusts, so I still feel the cold, but I don’t get all shivery. And that hasn’t kicked in yet. Annoying.
The skies cleared around sundown yesterday, so I went out to try and see the aurora. I stopped at a couple of likely places, with no luck, even through the camera. Then I went home, saw a faint glow from the parking lot, and I was able to catch some red and green on my phone’s camera.
Woo for a little bit of aurora!
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday Hil!
As it happened, neither school is able to take Mr. S right now. One has a waiting list, the other had one spot and two kids they were looking at-they went with the other kid.
At least I will get my back pay by the end of next week.
I just had my annual review and got a "strong achieves", yay! A big relief considering I flip-flopped every week as to if I was going to get an "achieves" or "development needed".
I woke up at 3am and couldn’t fall back asleep so finally at 430 just got up and started reading the internet, then joined a 6am meeting I wasn’t planning to attend (because I also have a 7am meeting I have to actually participate in) but I may just take a huge nap in the middle of the day.
I woke up to people on our roof at 7 am. I was hoping to get a shower before they started but oh well. I mean, I could shower but they are replacing the skylight in the bathroom and brrrr
lol—planned people on the roof, I assume—I initially read that as “surprise! Burglars on the roof!” Or something.
Roofers replacing the bathroom skylight would no doubt applaud you taking a shower.
Takes me back to a few years ago when college kids from the bar a few doors down were doing parkour on my building's roof. My neighbor had her gun out and was about ready to start shooting holes in the ceiling before we found out what was going on.

Ha! I had the same reaction—"People on the roof...on purpose???"
