Attending a mtg for a task that not only is not my job to do, I do not even have access in the application where it is done.
Boss is clinging on to some relic of a process that used to involve us for some unknown reason.
I just logged out while it was still going on.
Completely ridiculous.
Wow, msbelle, that is impressive in its way
I just found out that my boss will be on vacation the last two weeks of the year. Technically, I will not be alone in the department because the remote contractor will be with us through the end of January, but for all practical purposes no one will know what I should be doing...
Sorry hear that you are caught in job stupidity msbelle.
I have been dealiing that with a bunch of different projects this year and I'm just so worn out by it.
My work nemesis keeps passive-aggressively cc'ing my boss in his snippy little emails to me. Little does he know he is also her work nemesis and she is on my side! Mwahaha!
I've often debated in my mind which is worse: the stress of running your own business or putting up with the bullshit and bureaucracy of working for someone else. I've not concluded, but at this point in my life, I won't be working for anyone else.
Well deserved evil laugh of righteousness, Jess!

I am sure you will all be relieved to hear that my lunch today is Four Bean Salad. Not bad. Actually assembled for last night's dinner although I did not dress it (which is to say, does it liberally with the red wine vinegar I keep in a desk drawer) until now, and it will probably make one more meal at least.
