Thrive to spite them

New Natter!

Shir I hope you stay fever free. I went to the Dr about my lack of desire to do anything and general feeling of fatigue and my even worse sleeping. I was frustrated because he went straight to prescribing Trazadone and wanting to increase he Lexapro. I know I had blood work in Dec and things were good. But I also know what depression and anxiety feels like for me and this has been different. So after a brief discussion he did order some blood work to check for vitamin deficiencies and some other things.

Maybe an increase in meds and short term help sleeping is all I need but also it seems better to rule out other causes. So I got blood work.

My nephew is going to be in town for a long weekend. The same weekend as JZ's memorial. I was able to get get my schedule arranged so I can see him. I'll make time for the live steam of the memorial. It will be good to see E. He will be 16 in Aug. I haven't had a chance to really talk to him , every time I'm free he is busy with Scouts or his part time job or swimming.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

New thread smell!

Shir, lots of wishes for fast healing.

Thanks, -t. The one (out of two) coworkers I like may have walked out today? Unclear. Waiting for a text back but he super hates texting.

askye, I’m glad you pushed for testing. Do you know how long it will take before you get results?

Edited: I went to Beep Me. Duh. JZ’s memorial is 5/18 for anyone else out of it.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Oof, Shir, glad it's mild and I hope you clear the infection soon.

I will have to miss the memorial. DH is in Mamma Mia and we don't have the child care infrastructure to make that weekend work. Sad.

Uncertain work drama... Not a good band name.

Askye, that seems reasonable.

Speaking of meds, I've just started a low-does SSRI and have nausea on Day 2. I'm trying to figure out if this will persist, because this is worse than what it's trying to fix. Anyone have any insights or experiences?

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Shir, Covid is a lousy welcome-to-the-US gift. I'm glad it's mild, and I hope you stay fever-free!

It will be good to see E. He will be 16 in Aug.

How is he 16 already?

Initial side effects should go away, but you might have to give it a couple of weeks (hopefully sooner, though!).

The infection in my left ear has been joined by my right ear, in some kind of sympathy or copycat move. It is not very cool at all. I feel like I'm underwater.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh no, Steph. That super sucks.

I have antibiotics, so they just need to do their job. Still, I don't care for this shit at all.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Hey, batter batter!

A's won tonight! And they won a series against the (first place at the time) Orioles. And split with the Yankees. And aside from their first disastrous week, they've played above .500. And that's with their three best hitters from last year being useless.

Also, our closer throws 103 mph and nobody can hit it.

This is the last season the A's will be in Oakland and I'm just trying to soak it up.

Matilda went over to her friend Iris's house and when Janet (Iris's mom) drove Matilda home she brought Cupid and Sparky over and I got to see dogs. Cupid blew right by me running up the steps to go find free snacks on the kitchen floor. Sparky was dumb, chunky and confused.

Anyway: dogs!

Yay dogs.

Y’all am I losing my mind?? I keep losing things. First it was my little travel bag I kept plugs and chargers in. Not a huge deal but a little annoying. Several of the chargers had been taken out of it, so the only one I really need to replace is the Apple Watch charger. Then I lost my makeup bag. Ok, I had it for the dance weekend, and took it to the hotel, maybe I left it there and it never showed up at lost and found. Bummer. Then I realized that I couldn’t find two of the hair things my sister gave me for Christmas. Maybe I put them away somewhere that is not the first five places I looked? Maybe. But then tonight I wanted to wear a sweater I own…and it is nowhere to be found. Nowhere! What did I do with that sweater?? Why can I not find things??
