In the end it's only ever been one step, and then the next.

{offers -t hairpats}

The notion that factory workers are plug-and-play components is disheartening and entirely too common. Connie worked in a textile factory during the summers in college and it was rough.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yep. That's one of the benefits of strikes, teaching management that no, they can't just step in and do that job/have anyone step in and do that job. But they never seem to learn it for long, if they actually do.

Honestly, that is one of my complaints about my comparatively cushy office job with the current reorg, not even so much about what my job is becoming but that it is VERY CLEAR that the mindset behind the reorg is that anyone could do any job so we can just shuffle people around and redistribute responsibilities however someone who has not done any of these jobs decides. And if someone leaves we will just magically become more efficient and pick up the nonexistent slack. It crushes one's spirit.

Mmm, sweet sweet hairpats. That's the stuff.

Whew, I am the youngest person by FAR in this podiatrist office waiting room.

That seems right.

Posting helps, I was able to get the rest done, Christmas is saved! Or at least a few particular pre-Christmas flash sales.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Well, it’s the weekend. Which means more sleep deprivation, as Mr. S has been waking up way too early on the weekend.(there is no reason for him to be up at 6:30 on a Saturday, but he often is)

Sorry about that, Sheryl

I dislike this growing older thing as I feel more and more rickety in this flesh suit daily. Yet the alternative is unpalatable as well.

I would not want to take over a factory job but I also wouldn’t want to get fired for refusing to? Yikes, what’s a middle management person who doesn’t make the decisions do?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am so terrible with posting on my phone and quick typing!

I am rickety too. The mask somehow makes it so I have no depth perception at all, and I already had poor depth perception. It came up on my 23 and me that I was more likely to have a fear of heights, because my idea of my body in space is most informed with my vision. Which explains why many people in my family are screams if heights and why I need to be looking at my feet to go down stairs. Unfortunately we also are genetically inclined to glaucoma, cataracts and blindness.

In the end it's only ever been one step, and then the next.

meara, Courtney Milan suggests that pushing folks into these jobs constitutes constructive discharge; someone else raised the excellent point of brand dilution: "who would purchase presumably lesser quality equipment made by unskilled workers for the same price?" And who's covering the work the salaried employees aren't doing?

Thrive to spite them

I'm at the beach!!!

I ordered stuff from Zulilly for the first time a week or so ago. I didn't realize how long it could take to get things. Luckily I didn't need them in a certain time frame.

I don't use pill pockets for Penny. I use the hold her , throw a pill down her mouth, rub her throat so she swallows method. Which isn't as gentle as the pill pockets but she doesn't always go for treats.
