Timelies all!
The school asked us to keep Mr. S home today and tomorrow. Luckily, these are Gary’s work from home days, and the nanny came in for a few hours. As for the meds, we will be switching one of the meds and adding a booster dosage to the other. Let’s hope this helps.
David, what is the title of your Tom Waits book? My friend that I recommended your tour to (in the before times) has a birthday coming up next month. I could get his bday present and feel like I am also a patron of the arts!
Swordfishtrombones!: [link]
Note you can also get the audiobook on CD if that's a medium that your friend still has viable. (And the woman who did the audiobook is great.)
Let’s hope this helps.
I hope so, Sherryl. For Mr S's sake as much as for you and Gary. I'm sure he is terribly frustrated too. It does get easier as children's ability to communicate improves.
Long ago I used to fly a stack of three Trlby stunt kites [link] with forty-foot tails at the park.
That sounds like a great idea. Skinner tends to stick by my side when at the park alone when he needs to run!
It's Friday. That's something, right?
Is it wrong to delight in Brett Kavanaugh testing positive for Covid? Maybe wrong to hope he is unvaccinated and ends up unable to stay on the court? Nah.
I read that he is vaccinated, unfortunately. And I am trying really hard not to root for his death. Thanks, past five years.
I often feel bad that I wish harm on so many people after decades of only wishing the best for all. As the saying goes, it is what it is. The fact is that there is an ever-expanding list of people I absolutely do wish to see have horrible things happen to them. Yep, Brett is on the List.
I try and see this a win/win. Either vaccinated people remain relatively save from breakthrough COVID or Uncle Joe is nominating a Supreme Court Justice.
October beach getaway with friends is booked! In the same town where I spent my teenage summers (Bethany Beach, Del.), two streets over from the street we stayed on then, one block from the beach. Not that I'll be sunbathing, but, conveniently, the sunrise is after 7a here in October. Nice!
