Bobby strikes me as the most real QE irl. Though, I've actually dreamt about Tan before. It had something to do with French Tucks and him taking credit for them and feeling really guilty.
Yay for vaccines, Pix. I'm so glad you hear you are clear.
I took a home test last week and was negative, but am wondering if you can still have symptoms when not contagious. Or if that requires a blood test. I've had these poleaxe symptoms that remind me of what Rio has dealt with. Though mine are not nearly as severe.
"beekaytee, I've already voted for you,"
Thanks so much JZ! I'm planning a move to Portugal next year and will be opening communication with the embassy this week. I'm hoping that a win will improve my pitch for visa sponsorship. Plus, it's likely to be the last year I compete and it would be nice to go out on top!
"also gotten regular jury duty calls. Usually twice a year, because I get one in my married name and another in my birth name (I'm still registered to vote as JZ, not JS, and I don't really want to change it because I like still having an excuse to sign that name every now and then)."
Oh dear. In this area, I would be forced to show up twice in that case. Wouldn't matter if I could prove I was not two different people.
Reminds me of when I was drafted in '81. Even had a bench warrant sworn against me for not properly registering for the draft. 5 years in jail and a massive fine. It took more phonecalls than it should have to prove I was not a boy.
The most recent time was a few months ago, but I totally forgot it due to family stuff and never checked in even once (in SF, you call a potential juror hotline once a day for 5 days in a row to see if you're supposed to come in and sit in the call room, and if you get called in one day but don't get chosen or never get called in at all you're off the hook for the next year, or the next 6 months if you're me). I'm pretty sure that if they'd actually called me in and I'd failed to show I would've been pinged by now about failure to show, so I assume I'm free for another few months.
SF is yearly? How can that be? DC has a smaller population and we only get called every two years! Huh.

Tell me more!!
I had a dream that only one of the Queer Eye guys was real, and the others were just in that one guy's imagination.
Amazing.
I'm trying (failing) to get back in the headspace to do the reading I need to finish for the class I'm taking this semester. We also have an assignment due *before* the first class which is part of a *group project* and thank goodness my project partner and I are on the same page about basically winging it because I literally CANNOT.
Timelies all!
Yay for negative tests!
Mr. S was horrible all day yesterday, ending with him refusing to go to sleep and being extremely disruptive. He didn't fall asleep until sometime around midnight, and still woke up before 8 this morning. Sigh...
Parents update: My mom was moved to a rehab center this week. My dad was still in the hospital as of Friday, but thinks he will be transferred on Monday.
Sheryl, I do hope he is transferred soon. I am sure it is easier on them to be in the same place.
Hey Laura!
I've been thinking about moving abroad for a couple of years, specifically to open a series of businesses stemming from a retreat center. It's a grand dream and I'm loving the planning.
Initially, I planned on Ireland because you can buy amazing properties for about what a fancy condo costs around here. But. Things are so, so tense there, both because of Brexit and on-going internal troubles that seem like another never-ending war.
Portugal has much of what I am looking for and the time seems right.
A Peace March Friend lives there now, though he is retired...in contrast to my plan to never retire.
Have you ever been?
Oh Sheryl, I hope the transfer works out in the best possible way.
No, I have not been, but now I will have a great reason to visit! Very exciting news.
bonny, that sounds like an amazing plan!
