Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
No, the bank thing is ongoing. I'm on the phone on hold with them now, waiting for some more info.
Holy crap, meara, that's creepy.
I hate to say it, but this is beginning to feel like an identity theft situation, meara. In case you want to look into reporting: [link]
Ugh, meara. wtf.
Yeah, WTF, meara. I would put a hold on your credit reports and etc.
They switched up my Mom's meds, and she's MUCH more lucid now, and doing way better overall. She's supposed to be getting out of the hospital and going into rehab today.
Good news!
So, unsurprisingly, most people went with sports as their fandom. There was also a Britney Spears, a CHVRCHES, and an ice cream.
Love you, Nilly!!!!!
Yeah what’s weird is the bank thing happened in person locally. And the phone thing apparently happened in North Carolina, it showed up in my account as a cash transaction in Greensboro changing the SIM card or whatever. So just….all my data is out there? I dunno. I did def go freeze my credit. And double check I have all the alerts and verifications I can, on my accounts. But still.
Oh, no, meara! Stop it universe or evildoers or whoever!
Y'all just need to sparkle more in your fandoms.
LOL
Timelies all!
Nilly has said things much more eloquently than I could have(as always), but if I have hurt or offended anyone here, I ask your forgiveness.
Good mom news, Tom.
Thanks for the birthday happies! My day was spent quietly pushing fluids, eating ice cream, coughing my head off, avoiding major media, and rejoicing when the test came back that this was not breakthrough COVID.
Tom & Sheryl - I hope your parents continue to improve! They need to stop scaring the hell out of you. Hang in there.
I need to do that for my IBS. Although I'm also 98% sure a big contributor to the 2+ months of GI unrest is new unfun lactose intolerance. I switched to lactose-free milk and 1/2 and 1/2 for my coffee and things have calmed down enormously. I'm going to cautiously re-introduce cheese and see what happens (apparently some cheeses aren't problematic for some people with lactose intolerance, but it sounds like a lot of trial and error is involved).
Teppy, Hippie Mom and Geneticist pal both suggested I eat raw milk cheese to repopulate my gut biome and it worked a treat. It was a gruesome regimen - every Monday I bought a few ounces of some ridiculously expensive fancy pants cheese and ate a little bit each day with my breakfast. It took about two months of this grueling discipline and the milk in my iced coffee has stopped bothering me and I can once again eat ice cream without risking a sprint. If I can eat an ounce of amazing cheese most days for a few months, anyone can. Keep the faith!
And for Nilly (and the rest of the Chosen), Shana tova [link]
