"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

This will be the SECOND car my sister has crashed in a way that damaged the undercarriage and maybe next time she asks to borrow it I will say no.

I think that is the correct answer.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh no, Jess! I agree that maybe your sister should not be driving your cars.

Yikes Jessica! Also, wow, that’s an accident prone sister! I assume she doesn’t have a car so maybe is less comfortable/used to driving?? Still though.

I’m waiting for the bank to confirm what exactly happened (the guy I talked to could basically only see that it was listed as in person withdrawal and what branch) so I know what exactly I need to report! It’s all online now.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Yeah, she's lived in NYC since college (20+ years) and has never owned a car.

(To be clear, the FIRST car she totaled wasn't mine, it was the family junk car that both of us learned to drive on. I used it for two years and then left for college, and she drove it into a tree. She has many talents. Driving isn't one of them.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There is a reason I went from driving occasionally to driving never!

Thrive to spite them

There was only 48 posts for me to read but it was a roller coaster.

Lots of health~ma to sick/injured parental units.

Meara that really sucks that your bank doesn't seem to be as concerned as they should be. And that this happened.

Jessica your poor car.

Thrive to spite them

Work has been ...it's been a thing where we are understaffed and have new people. One man who has worked in suits for decades quit. I don't know exactly what happened but I guess some stuff built up and then something happened and he went to lunch and did not come back. I think it is a combination of things.

And one of the part time people just started full time. He told me he got an email saying they were hiring full time and the starting pay for this store is $15/hr. Which is a little less than what I make and a lot more than least one full time person was making (they quit in part because of the pay).

I want to figure out how to approach the HR manager and ask what tbos will mean for those of us who have worked here and if salaries wi be adjusted.

This happened to me at the store in NC, where seasonal people were being hired at $1 more an hour than I was making. I didn't say anything at the time because I was waiting for review and going to bring it up then.

I'm frustrated today so I'm not bringing it up today but I want to figure out how to approach this. I know I'm being paid on the higher end because of formerly being on commission and I don't want to approach it as just being about me but also about other people.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Writers will appreciate this: I was one of several reviewers on a thing, and I left a couple of clarifying notes, but that is all. So I went back and apologized, saying I did think it was great overall. I hate when I do that! I'm just like "Fix that one word. Feedback complete." Anyway, the writer said the clarifications were helpful, unlike "this needs to sparkle more," which is actual feedback she has received! People are really out here telling writers to sparkle.
