Poor Cupid.
M's mom said she was inviting her son and daughter in law over Sunday instead of going to their house. She asked if I had any objections. Since they go over there every week I said it's not that much different. And she wants to invite her daughter and her son in law and their kids...one of whom was the one exposed to covid. But she hasn't been sick.
I will be at work tomorrow so it won't really effect me.
Also I'm wearing the corduroy skirt I was gushing about on FB and it was snug at the waist when I got it and now it is a little loose.
Timelies all!
Ugh. Mr. S was up and out of bed before 6:30 this morning. No rest for the weary...
mac has been mostly incommunicado. He finally responded to a text on Friday after a month of no responses. He has paid his own rent for two months off of his tax refund (he received the stimulus payments in the refund), but I do not see how he will pay October. The job with Amazon either never was secured or ended for some reason, I never saw a paycheck from them. His current job is not enough to cover rent and his other expenses.
I got an appointment for Monday testing, I cleaned out the fridge, I took the compost to collection site, I got the few groceries I needed, 4th and final load of laundry is in, and I had some end of summer wine and visit with Sara. Good day.
Take time off work, friends! The work will be there when you get back. Life is too short.
Excellent message to wake up to, lisah!
oh lord. I thought after 20 years maybe I could watch the reflection/anniversary news items. I was wrong.
{{{msbelle}}} Calming thoughts to you.
I don't know if it will get easier in our lifetimes. I remember how my mother would cry every year on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Some memories just have too much of an emotional punch.
Timelies all!
I will be avoiding the news as much as possible next Saturday. I have to bring Luna in for her shots and checkup that morning, so that'll take up some time.
